Banbridge Golf Club is situated in the heart of beautiful County Down countryside, conveniently situated 25 miles south of Belfast, with easy access from the main Belfast to Dublin Road.
Its excellent facilities include a challenging 18 hole course, well stocked golf shop, superb luxurious Clubhouse, restaurant and conference room.
The course is a mature parkland course set in the rolling drumlins of County Down. Signature holes are the 6th hole with its menacing pond and the par 3 – 221 yard 10th hole, where playing for a safe 4 is usually the best option! The course provides a challenge to all golfers, whether scratch or 24 handicaps, without being intimidating.
The Club welcomes GUI Registered Societies to play the course (April – September inclusive) and avail of the excellent Clubhouse facilities. Details can be found on this website.
Our Golfing Professional Jason Greenaway or one of our office staff will only be too happy to help organise your outing and ensure that a visit to Banbridge Golf Club is memorable.

Welcome from Mr Captain for 2018 season

Welcome to Banbridge Golf Club.

It is a huge honour to be Captain of this great Club.  Over the past few years we have made many improvements to the course.  The remodelling of several greens, fairways and tee boxes has been completed.  The result of all this work is a very challenging and picturesque 18 holes of golf.  If you haven’t played the course recently do yourself a favour, come along, play a round, sample the hospitality in the clubhouse and treat yourself to some of the tasty offerings from the 19th Hole restaurant.

Ahead of a the 2018 season my thanks go to the greens staff, office staff and the Pro Shop for their continued hard work.  No Club can run without a conscientious and focused Council and I thank those convenors, council members and committee members for their time and effort.

Best wishes to the Ladies Branch in 2018, I’m sure they will continue to thrive under the guidance of Lady Captain Valerie and her committee.  I would also like to wish our Juvenile Captain, Jack McKerr, every success for his year in office.

2018 will see a continued effort in recruiting cadet membership both girls and boys – if you know anyone who you think would be interested contact Jason in the Pro Shop or our Juvenile Convenor, Johnny McKinstry, to get them signed up.

Hopefully 2018 will bring us some team success and I pass my best wishes to all team captains and players for the incoming season.

I would ask members to support the many functions and fundraising events throughout the year. Also please make an effort to support the many companies and individuals who sponsor the club – without them it would be very hard to balance the books.

Finally I hope 2018 is a great year for all members and friends of Banbridge Golf Club.

Yours in Golf

Welcome from Lady Captain 2018 season

I was extremely proud and honoured to become Lady Captain of Banbridge Golf Club on the special night of the Ladies 100th AGM.

The ladies are a friendly and supportive group who enjoy the weekly golf competitions on Tuesdays or alternative Saturday afternoons. We are a very social club and the ladies enjoy post golf refreshments in our restaurant ‘The 19th Hole Bar and Grill’ and meet each Tuesday evening for the weekly prize-giving throughout the season.  Thank you to all our sponsors for their continued support.

The Ladies Branch extend a warm welcome to all ladies to come and try golf.  Our Club Professional Jason and Assistant Professional Richard will be delighted to teach the basics in group sessions before you head out onto the course with our lady members for some fun and encouragement.  Please contact the office or Pro Shop for details.

I also hope this year that we can continue to develop our Cadet Programme and extend it to encourage more girls to play and enjoy golf.  We would love to have more girls and ladies joining our club!

I would like to wish Mr Captain Paddy and all the Men’s Branch a successful and enjoyable years’ golf.

Finally, I am really looking forward to representing all of the ladies, working with the new Lady President, Marlene Nelson, Lady Vice Captain, Denise Nelson, and the hard working committee.  I wish all the teams success in their respective competitions and hopefully we’ll all be able to play some good golf!

Yours in sport,
